It is crucial to have a conversation as early as possible before any cognitive and or physical changes start to negatively impact an aging adult and or a senior’s quality of life. As we age it might become more challenging to perform daily activities due to various factors. It can be declining health in general, chronic health issues, diseases and or cognitive impairment such as Dementia. Some seniors remain more independent than others. Start with doing your ‘homework’ to gain a better understanding of a loved one's status of their independence, health situation and current care needs. If possible, discuss & research financial resources including the market value of the home or condo they live at.
